Payment by cash is the most common method of payment, although other payment methods are becoming more popular.

Tips: It is important to note that for cash payment, customers may tender different amounts of currency (notes). The PoS system has been designed to calculate any change to be given to the customer. The cashier is not expected to calculate the customer’s balance. The balance is displayed on the cash payment complete screen.

The following steps will guide the cashier on receiving a cash payment:

  1. On the Order Overview display, by default, the payment selection is set as External payment or the last payment method used.

  2. Tap on the navigation button beside External payment.

Important Tip: If the cash tendered by the customer is the exact amount to be paid for the order, the cashier can select EVEN on the Processing Payment screen. This feature was implemented to make the customer queue flow fast. EVEN can be selected if the customer will not require a change/balance to be given.
